In order to provide free physiotherapy, occupational therapy, hearing test, distribution of visual aids, counseling, training, accessory aids and other necessary services and assistance to disabled people in the country, for the first time in the fiscal year 2009-2015, the Ministry of Social Welfare organized the National Disability Development Foundation Disabled services and help centers were introduced under

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina formally inaugurated the program titled "Disabled Services and Help Center" on 02 April 2010, Honorable Prime Minister of the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh.

In the effort to involve the people with disabilities in the mainstream of the society, currently 103 of the disabled disabled services and help centers are working relentlessly in 64 districts.
